People worldwide working together to protect our oceans

The World Ocean Day is growing the global movement to call on world leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030. This critical need is called 30×30. By safeguarding at least 30% of our ocean through a network of highly protected areas we can help ensure a healthy home for all! Visit WorldOceanDay.org and sign the petition.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE OUR OCEANS

  1. Say no to  plastic waste. Water bottles, straws, shampoo bottles, trinkets, packaging.
  2. No more toxins down the drain. What goes down the drain, flows out to the Bay. Safely dispose medications, herbicides, pesticides & cleaning products.
  3. Shop the bins, bulk, open markets. Use fabric/reusable shopping bags, refillable body care bottles.
  4. Avoid synthetic clothing. Every time synthetic fabrics are laundered, micro fibers make their way into the water supply.
  5. Use sea safe sunscreen. Not all sunscreens are safe for sea life, and they all wash off into the bay or down the shower drain.
  6. Join a beach cleanup. Save Our Shores!
