Monterey Bay region produces world class wines

From the Santa Cruz mountains to the base of the Salinas Valley, the Monterey Bay region has several terroirs that give unique flavors to a wine by the environment in which it is produced, including the soil, topography, and climate.

The Monterey Bay also has several wineries and vineyards committed to sustainability.  Look for wines that are SIP certified, (Sustainability in Practice), certified organic, CSWA certified (California Sustainable Winegrowing Association) or practice sustainable methods and reward them with your purchases.
