Salty air, barking seals & sea birds

The devastating winter storms of 2022-3, left both the Seacliff and Capitola piers severely damaged. The Capitola pier has been restored, while the Seacliff pier leading to the cement ship was removed.

Going to the seashore is not complete without a visit to one of our harbors or piers to watch boats, fishermen and wildlife.

Why we ❤ it
Going for a walk to the end of a pier or wharf takes you out over the water where there are salty ocean breezes, barking seals, pelicans and ubiquitous sea gulls and pigeons and a greater connection to the bay.
