National Drive Electric Week, Sep 11-Oct 12, 2026, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

According to local emissions assessments, over 50% of our regional climate changing Green House Gas Emissions come from vehicles. Electric Vehicles offer an immediate elimination of driving emissions, zero from the tailpipe and zero when plugged into the carbon-free electricity purchased from our local Central Coast Community Energy.

We are excited about the benefits of driving electric—They are fun to drive, are less expensive to maintain and fuel, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on oil and gas.

Three reasons to make the change

Affordability. Rebates, no gas, low maintenance—there’s no engine, spark plugs, valves, fuel tank, tailpipe, distributor, clutch, muffler, or catalytic converter to break.
