Participate in Citizen Science

Each February, the world comes together for the love of birds. Over these four days you are invited to spend time in your favorite places watching and counting as many birds as you can find and reporting them. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before their annual migrations.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an effort between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada.

Whether you count one bird or hundreds, participating is easy and fun for all ages. Get closer to nature and to each other by spending 4-days in February with the birds!
