Now it’s easy to make the ‘Best’ choice

The sushi we eat today has its origins in fish preservation techniques that are hundreds of years old. Then, fish filled our oceans. Today, there are serious concerns about the number of fish left in the sea. The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch rates fish in 3 categories to help you choose seafood that protects sea life and habitats, now and for future generations:

Best Choice: Well managed and caught or farmed in ways that cause little harm to habitats or other wildlife
Good Alternative: Buy, but be aware there are concerns with how they’re caught or farmed
Avoid: Don’t buy, they’re over-fished, caught or farmed in ways that harm other marine life or the environment
