A 6-minute walk from downtown Santa Cruz, this eco-friendly B&B surrounded by gardens generates most of its electricity from solar panels and offers an electric charging station for cars. The 4 elegant rooms offer handmade natural latex pillow-top mattresses, TVs, DVD players. Other features vary by room but include an antique claw-foot tub, gas fireplaces and a private patio. Most walls are made of 17-inch thick adobe, naturally suppressing noise.
